CHM Facilities - Phones and CHMI Contact List

An overview of VOIP phones at the Kennedy Building. How to use them and how to get them set up.

To access the CHM/HMI Personnel Directory, please see "CHM Facilities - Phones" on the internal KB site.

The Basics

  • The Kennedy Building exclusively uses new, digital VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephones. These phones are essentially small, phone-shaped computers that connect over ethernet and send / receive speech as digital signals.
  • New phones and numbers need to be provisioned by DoIT and plugged into an activated network jack.
  • Please contact one of our authorized users; Brendon (bjpanke@wisc.edu), Sarah Keib (keib@wisc.edu), or Brittany Thomson (brittany.thomson@wisc.edu); to coordinate any phone set up. Do not move your phone to a new jack without consulting Brendon or Sarah (your phone won't work).
