How to Use OneDrive

OneDrive is a cloud-based storage service provided by Microsoft that allows users to store, access, and share files and documents from virtually anywhere with an internet connection. Whether you're using OneDrive for personal or professional purposes, it can be a powerful tool for keeping your files organized and accessible. 1. Signing in to OneDrive

a. Using Your WISC Email

  1. Launch the OneDrive app on your device and then click "Sign In" or visit the OneDrive website at https://onedrive.live.com.
  2. Enter your Wisc email address.
  3. You will be redirected to the NetID login. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in using your NetID credentials.
  4. Once logged in, you'll have access to your OneDrive storage.

b. Using Your Morgridge Email 

  1. Launch the OneDrive app on your device and then click "Sign In" or visit the OneDrive website at https://onedrive.live.com.
  2. Enter your Morgridge email address and password.
  3. Once logged in, you'll have access to your OneDrive storage.

2. Uploading Files and Folders

a. From Your Computer

  1. Click on "New" and select "File" or "Folder."
  2. Browse your computer to select the file or folder you want to upload.
  3. Click "Open" to upload the file or folder to OneDrive.

b. From Other Apps

Many apps and programs, including Microsoft Office applications, offer built-in OneDrive integration. When saving a document or file, you can choose to save it directly to your OneDrive account.

3. Sharing Files and Collaborating

a. Share Files and Folders

  1. Right-click on the file or folder you want to share.
  2. Select "Share."
  3. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share with.
  4. Choose their permissions (view, edit, etc.).
  5. Click "Send."

b. Collaborate in Real-Time
