MD Individual/Student Calendar Ground Rules and Naming Conventions

The ground rules and naming conventions the MD program has developed for the individual student calendars in Acuity.
  • The offices/programs that have access to their own independent “course” to add calendar events for individual/student calendars in Acuity are:
    • MEO
    • Student Services
    • WARM
    • TRIUMPH
    • MSTP

  • All calendar events that are added to the individual/student calendar must be essential for student success in the MD program and tied to a “course” or program above.

  • Each event/session added to the individual/student calendar requires a specific naming convention that should come before the title of the session. This helps provide clarity/consistency, convey the rationale and priority to students. See table below for the naming conventions to be used.

Examples of Acuity Individual/Student calendar titles

  • No “course” or program should use “required” or “optional” or “REC” in event titles as that information is often confusing for students, not used consistently and found elsewhere (Canvas).
