CHM IT - Connecting to Peach (Remote Desktop/Terminal Server)
"Peach" is our remote desktop server that you can use from your personal computer to access secure data and do work remotely. Here's how to connect!
IF YOU ARE ON A LAPTOP, YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE UW-MADISON VPN BEFORE CONNECTING!

In the search bar near the start button, type "Remote desktop". You'll see the "Remote Desktop Connection" app appear. Open this app.
Once the remote desktop application opens, type CHM-TS-PEACH.ad.wisc.edu in the "computer" box.
Hit "connect". You will be asked for your credentials. Click on more options, then click use a different account.
In the username box, type AD\(your NetID). You must include the "AD\". Type your NetID password in the password box, then click "OK".
You are now connected! Remember to SIGN OUT at the end of your session (Start -> your user icon -> Sign Out)

YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE UW-MADISON VPN BEFORE CONNECTING!
Open your search and type "Windows App". If the app doesn't appear (or isn't already installed), you may have to install it from the Apple Store.
(Open the App Store, type "Windows App". the app should be free, so press the "get" button, then "install")
Once the app is installed (or if you already had it installed), open it with the search function (type "windows app" in the search bar, or open it from your applications):
Once the app opens, click on "Devices" and then the "Add PC" button (or press the "+" button at the top to add a PC)
In the window that appears, type CHM-TS-PEACH.ad.wisc.edu as your PC name, and type "Peach" as the friendly name.
The "Peach" PC connection will now appear in your Devices list. Double-click on the "Peach" box to connect to the computer.
Enter AD\(Your NetID) in the username box. Remember to add "AD\" before your NetID!
Enter your NetID password in the box, then click continue to connect.
Remember to SIGN OUT when you are finished with your session! (Start button -> your user icon -> Sign Out)
