• Check whether a CAE account is active/allowed

• Whether an account has been scrambled

  • CAE scrambles passwords when data shows that DoIT has scrambled the users Netid.  This will show in the warnings section
     

• Checking ACL's

  • CoE VPN - full and split access (https://kb.wisc.edu/cae/5573)

    • Access is automatically granted for Staff and Faculty

    • Grad students have a click through acknowledging that they will adhere to policy

    • Undergrad access requires a staff or faculty members request

  • CAE VPN Software License

    • Undergrad access to licenses

    • A click through acknowledging that they will adhere to policy

    • Used for things like @jjankows license servers

• Changing a users password

  • It is sometimes easier to just help the user through the process
