Recommending an Applicant to a Different Program

This document provides directions for recommending an applicant to a different program in Applicant Review. It is best practice to let the student know that you are recommending the student for the program before doing so in Applicant Review; that way, if the student has no interest in the new program, the program can just decline admission.

Process

  1. Select the student you'd like to Recommend; click on Application Actions drop down and then click Recommend

  2. In the window that appears, click on the ellipses button located at the end of the Program Field

  3. The list of programs that appears shows all of your admitting programs. Click the red Select link for the correct program.

  4. Select your admitting criteria (recommendation Code, Completion date, etc.) and then select Recommend.

To which programs can I recommend?

In Applicant Review, you can only recommend an applicant to other programs that you administer in Applicant Review. If an applicant would like to be considered for a different program that you do not administer, then the applicant will have to fill out a new application.
