EUC - PaperCut - Mac, Mobile Printing - Hold for Authentication Error
This document goes over how to fix a “Hold for Authentication” error while using a mobile queue on PaperCut with a Mac device. For assistance with this article, please contact the End User Computing (EUC) team.
Why this error is occurring?
- Either the NetID or Password was typed in or saved incorrectly.
What to do to Fix this Error?
- First, spot the error occurred by looking at the printer icon in the bottom right corner.

- Click into the icon. The following will appear.

- Click on the little reload button on the far right and a box will pop up. See the blue highlighted box.

- When the box pops up, make sure to type in the NetID and Password carefully.

- Tip: Do not check the “Remember this password in my keychain” if you are not 100% sure the NetID and Password is correct.
- Make sure the printer icon at the bottom right does not look like it did, and then disappears quickly.
- Go over to the desired print release station and login with NetID and Password and release the print.
