CHM Undergrads - eRA Commons

Directions for undergrads setting up their eRA Commons profile.

Electronic Research Administration (eRA) is an online interface where grant applicants, grantees and federal staff at NIH and grantor agencies can access and share administrative information relating to research grants.

Undergraduate students set up their eRA Commons profile when they start at CHM.

After you receive an email with a link to your new account, fill in your profile:

 

"Select Profile" -> Select "Employment Module"

  • Employer

    • Select "I work in a company or institution outside NIH."

    • UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON

  • Start Date:

    • Student Hourlies: This is the date of your orientation with Jane Lambert.

    • Credit Students: This is either the date of your orientation with Jane Lambert, or the first date of your work on the project (whichever is first).

  • Job Title:

    • Undergraduate Research Assistant

  • Select "This is my primary employment"

  • This job is:

    • Select "Part time"

  • This is a job working directly for the federal government:

    • Select "No"

  • Street Address:

    • 625 W. Washington Ave.
