SEAM is exploring the creation of federated Apple IDs using the wisc.edu domain identity. In the event that campus leadership approves the use of federated Apple IDs, a process for deconfliction will be required for anyone currently using the @wisc.edu domain for their personal Apple ID, requiring them to change the email address associated with that Apple ID.

To minimize the number of additional deconflictions, it is recommended that campus units NOT create personal Apple IDs using the wisc.edu domain going forward.
