The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.

The minutes of May 30 were approved.

General Reports

Albert Muniz, ASEC Chair, reported that Dom Zappia was elected as the Associated Students of Madison chair. Albert hopes to reestablish regular meetings with the shared governance group chairs.

Lesley Fisher reported that Mallory Musolf has been named as the next Secretary of the Academic Staff and will begin in the role on July 1.

Liaison Reports

Donna Cole reported that the School of Medicine and Public Health CASI discussed opportunities for engagement with the next dean.

Business

• 2024-25 ASEC Planning Discussion

ASEC discussed whether they should reestablish subcommittees next year, their meeting schedule, guest frequency, and committee orientation.

• Topics for Guests

Provost: reflections on first academic year at UW-Madison; budget approach; RISE initiatives

Cigdem Unal: overview of OCCFR and services provided; work with UCCC and CWU regarding recommendations for future child care facilities; work being done to support campus early child care teachers
