Accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Keyboard focus indicator does not meet contrast standards, impacting users with motor disabilities and users who are colorblind or have low vision

When using the keyboard to tab through the website, the keyboard focus indicator is a white frame on a gray background, which fails to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast standards.

Screen reader accessibility barriers impacts users who are blind or have low vision

There are multiple screen reader barriers impacting users who are blind or have low vision, including navigation starting from an unexpected location and some content cannot be accessed via screen reader.

  • When users navigate to any of ‘My Reservation Templates’ via screen reader, the navigation starts from lower on the page. It’s better to start from the beginning of the page.

  • In the 'Event' page, the data within the table cannot be accessed by screen reader. Currently only headers within the table can be accessed.

  • When users update ’Date’, ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’ fields via screen reader, they will be brought to an unexpected location and it’s hard to go back to the place where they were.
