Session Content

Faculty and research staff from the School of Human Ecology are invited to attend this session on the essentials related to applying for, accepting, and managing grants, what you need to know about common legal agreements researchers often use when working with others, need-to-know research policies, and frequently sought resources to help with all of this.

This session will touch on budget development but a more intensive session on budgeting will be held in early 2025.

Topics include:

  • Applying for grants: Finding funding opportunities, developing your proposal and budget, RAMP processes, working with collaborators, etc.
  • Managing your award: Congratulations... your grant will be funded! What happens next.
  • Contracts: Data Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Outside Consulting
  • Research Policies 101: A run-through some of the most-referred to policies related to research conduct on our campus

Bring your questions! The session is meant to be both informational and interactive. If you have a question, most likely others do too!

Who should attend? Faculty, research staff and trainees at the School of Human Ecology.
