CIAS Printer Setup Instructions

Adding the Phaser 7500

Instructions for Mac Devices

1. Navigate to the driver download page.
2. Under Platform verify/select your device's operating system then click Apply Filters.
   • 
   • Note: you can easily find your device's operating system by clicking on the Apple icon in the top left of your screen, then selecting About This Mac. Your operating system will be listed on the resulting pop-up page.
3. Find the newest download option (there may be only one option), agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Download.
   • 
   • Note: if you are prompted by a pop-up window asking if you want to allow downloads on "www.support.xerox.com" click Allow.
4. Double click on the downloaded file to open it.
   • Note: the newly downloaded file is usually accessible by first clicking on the download icon at the top right of your browser.

   • Download Icon on Safari	Download Icon on Chrome

5. Double click on the Xerox Drivers package.
   • 
   • Note: you may get a pop-up saying "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." Click Allow.
6. Continue through the installation application. At the Installation Type step you may be asked for your device username and password. 
7. When you reach the Select Printer step select the Phaser 7500 printer from the printer options.
   • If you do not see the Phaser 7500 in the Select Printer options try the following troubleshooting steps:
     1. Check that the Phaser 7500 is turned on and not in sleep mode. 
     2. If you still cannot see the printer please reach out to CALS IT. 
8. Continue through the rest of the setup steps.
   • Note: you will be given the option to modify printer settings and download the Xerox Print and Scan App. You do not need to modify any printer settings or download the app in order for the printer to be connected to your device.
9. At the end of the installation process click Close.
10. Navigate to the Mac Printers & Scanners settings.
11. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...
12. Select the Phaser 7500 printer from the Default printer options.
    • If you do not see the Phaser 7500 in the printer options try the following troubleshooting steps:
      1. Check that the Phaser 7500 is turned on and not in sleep mode. 
      2. If you still cannot see the printer please reach out to CALS IT. 
13. Click Add.
14. The Phaser 7500 printer should now be connected to your device and visible in your Printers & Scanners settings.

Instructions for Windows Devices

1. Navigate to the driver download page.
2. Under Platform verify/select your device's operating system then click Apply Filters.
   • 
3. Choose the newest download option and then double click on the downloaded file to open it.
   • 
4. Double click on the downloaded file to open it.
   • Note: the newly downloaded file is usually accessible by first clicking on the download icon at the top right of your browser.

   • Download Icon on Microsoft Edge	Download Icon on Chrome

5. You will be prompted to allow changes to be made to your device. Click Yes.
6. Agree to the license agreement.
7. Select the Phaser 7500 from the printer options.
   • If you do not see the Phaser 7500 in the options try the following troubleshooting steps:
     1. Check that the Phaser 7500 is turned on and not in sleep mode. 
     2. If you still cannot see the printer please reach out to CALS IT. 
8. The Phaser 7500 printer should now be connected to your device.

Adding the Canon Color imageClass

Instructions for Mac Devices

1. Navigate to the driver download page.
2. Click on the Software & Drivers button. 
   • 
3. Verify your operating system and select your OS version.
   • 
4. Download the latest Driver.
   • 
   • Note: if you are prompted by a pop-up window asking if you want to allow downloads on this website click Allow.
5. Double click on the downloaded file to open it.
   • Note: the newly downloaded file is usually accessible by first clicking on the download icon at the top right of your browser.

   • Download Icon on Safari	Download Icon on Chrome

6. Double click on the Installer package.
   
   • 
7. Continue through the installation steps, agree to the license agreement, and install the driver.
8. Click Close to exit the installation window. 
   • Note: you may be asked if you would like to keep or move the installer to trash. You may choose either option. 
9. Navigate to the Mac Printers & Scanners settings.
10. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...
11. Select the Canon LBP622C printer from the Default printer options.
    • If you do not see the Canon LBP622C in the printer options try the following troubleshooting steps:
      1. Check that the Canon LBP622C is turned on and not in sleep mode. 
      2. If you still cannot see the printer please reach out to CALS IT. 
12. Click the Use drop down menu then click Select Software...
13. Type LBP622C into the Filter text input. Select the Canon LBP622C printer from the given options.
14. Click Add.
15. The Canon LBP622C printer should now be connected to your device and visible in your Printers & Scanners settings.

Instructions for Windows Devices

1. Navigate to the driver download page.
2. Click on the Software & Drivers button. 
   • 
3. Verify your operating system and select your OS version.
   • 
4. Download the latest Driver.
   • 
5. Double click on the downloaded file to open it.
   • Note: the newly downloaded file is usually accessible by first clicking on the download icon at the top right of your browser.

   • Download Icon on Microsoft Edge	Download Icon on Chrome

6. You will be prompted to allow changes to be made to your device. Click Yes.
7. Continue through the installation steps. Verify that Standard is selected on the Printer Setup page.
   • 
8. On the Printer Search page select the Canon LBP622C printer from the list.
   • If you do not see the Canon LBP622C in the printer options try the following troubleshooting steps:
     1. Check that the Canon LBP622C is turned on and not in sleep mode. 
     2. If you still cannot see the printer please reach out to CALS IT.
9. Click Start.
10. Click Exit to close the installation window.
11. The Canon LBP622C printer should now be connected to your device and visible in your Printers & scanners settings.
