UDOIT - Course Accessibility Scorecard [UW-Madison]

A Course Accessibility Scorecard: This interactive scorecard gives you an overall accessibility score for your course and highlights specific areas where small improvements can have a big impact.

In March of 2025, UDOIT released a Course Accessibility Scorecard that is available on all Canvas courses.

UDOIT presents an overall score for the course (shown in the image above). Below, the scorecard gives you a breakdown of the score based on the impact to the course. 

You can click anywhere on the impact line to expand it and see the details.

  • If you select an issue type in the first column of the table, UDOIT will take you to a screen with a filtered list of all of the barriers that are affecting the score for that issue type. 
  • To see details of the score, select the percentage score on the right (circled on the screenshot above). A pop up screen will open with a breakdown of the Critical, Moderate, and Minor barriers and successes identified by UDOIT. Then it calculates the percentage based on that.
