Campus Active Directory - Changing Your -SA Account Password
Active Directory SA account holders can change their password from any Windows machine joined to Campus Active Directory domain and connected to the campus network.
The machine you perform the password change from must be joined to the Campus Active Directory domain (ad.wisc.edu). If not on the campus network you must connect to the campus VPN service. If you do not have access to a machine joined to Campus Active Directory you can now use the Remote Desktop Service. |
Windows:
- Log into a Windows workstation with your NetID.
- Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. If you are in a remote session press Ctrl-Alt-End. Then click Change a Password
- Change the username field to your Active Directory SA admin username (NetID-sa).
- Enter your current password in the 'Old password' field. If you have just had your -sa account password reset, you will enter your temporary password in the 'Old password' field instead.
