Student Health Link Access Instructions
1. Agreement and Training
Complete the Health Link Remote Access Training remote access training course, in Canvas.
Save a copy of your completed certificate.
Attach the saved copy of the completed certificate from the Health Link Remote Access Training, and sign the SMPH Medical Student Remote Access Acknowledgment located here: SMPH Medical Student Remote Access Acknowledgement
Upon approval, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address entered on the form, from the SMPH Shared Services IT ticketing system (Jira).
Please be patient! It can take up to a day or two for the request to be processed. Typical turnaround time is within the same day, but high volume can extend this time frame.
NOTE: You will not be able to connect to Student Health Link - Azure Virtual Desktop, until you have received a confirmation email.
2. Once your access has been confirmed, open the following Windows App website in a web browser.

3. Enter YOUR NetID@Wisc.edu, which should redirect you to the UW Login page. Login using your NetID credentials.
Next, please approve your DUO MFA Authorization.
4. Press Skip on the Welcome to Windows App screen to access the Azure Virtual Desktop Portal.
5. Press Connect on the Med Student Desktop.
6. Check the Don’t show again box, and press Connect.
7. After connecting, sign in using your NetID@wisc.edu credentials
8. After sign in, press OK on the Acceptable Use Policy
9. Once logged in, launch the UW Health Citrix application.
10. Login to UW Health using your student UW Health login credentials. UserID@pa.uwhealth.org.
11. Upon completion of your work, please sign out by pressing the Start Menu icon, and then click on your name and select Sign Out
