Graduate Teaching Assistantships at Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work

A description of TA and RG hiring at the School, links to the application, and links to resources.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

The Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work offers Teaching Assistantships (TA) where graduate students play a crucial role in teaching Social Work courses. TA roles include instructional positions with duties such as lecturing, grading papers, supervising laboratories, leading discussion sections, and/ or developing course curriculum.

Most TA opportunities within the School require prior experience with the content. Applicants with an MSW degree or who are in their second year of the MSW Program will generally receive preferred consideration but all applications will be considered.

Project Assistant-Grader/Reader (RG) designates graduate students enrolled at UW–Madison who are employed to assist with grading at the UW–Madison. These positions are paid a fixed hourly rate.

We hire for Fall and Spring semesters. If positions are available, details will be found in the open TA/RG Application. To be notified when the application opens, Sign-up Here.

Additionally, we encourage you to continue searching and applying for other opportunities. Check SSW Job Listings and the University’s Student Job Listings regularly.
