FAQ

Will HRMed remain available?

HRMed will continue to be available through the transition to Workday. Please note that UW PeopleSoft sourced data will remain stale from July 3rd through July 31st. You will still be able to use HRMed, but new data will not be there until validation is complete.

Why is HRMed changing?

HRMed received person data from PeopleSoft HRS, which is being replaced by Workday, and our data feeds need to be updated to use the new data and concepts. We are unable to complete validation of the new data feeds until after Workday go-live.

How will Workday data compare to PeopleSoft in HRMed?

The initial conversion to Workday is being implemented via the campus provided set of APIs.  Not all data points previously available are present and historical data is limited.  We continue to work with campus to make additional data available to the API and may evaluate secondary sources in the future based on business needs.  No identified mission critical elements are absent.

Will information we enter into HRMed be available after the application is updated?

Yes, all information will remain available.

Where can I get updated person data in the meantime?

After Workday go-live, you can use it to find core person data while we validate HRMed.

HRMed workflow changes

There will be some noticeable changes to the Department / Subdepartment navigation menu to accommodate the shift away from UDDS codes.  We aim to mirror Workday's organization of Departments and CostCenters to give users a consistent experience.

Do you have any recommended workarounds?

As we become aware of workarounds, we will provide them here.
