Steps to obtain permission

1. Review the Student Organization Resource & Policy Guide article on Naming & University Logos. Please pay special attention to the design and layout guidelines. 

2. Decide which vendor you will use. There are only two vendors licensed to produce items with University trademarks: Underground Printing and Ad Madison. Most Law Student Organizations choose to work with Underground Printing. 

3. If you are using Wisconsin Law indicia: Submit your request via email to Kim Raether (kimberly.raether@wisc.edu) and cc Carlie Wiseley (carlie.wiseley@wisc.edu).  

   1. Explain how you intend to use the indicia on promotional materials

   2. Include an actual design/layout of how the indicia will be used 

4. If you are using UW Madison indicia (not Law School or the Gargoyle): Submit your request via email to licensing@athletics.wisc.edu.
