About DoIT M-Team
The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) uses Microsoft 365 Groups to communicate with division, department, and business unit staff.
Microsoft 365 Groups are owned by individual departments, units, or teams within the division. Member lists are manually reviewed and updated by their owner(s).
DoIT M-Team is a Microsoft 365 Group for managers working within the Division of Information Technology (DoIT).

Process Owners
Group Member List
As of August 2025, DoIT HR operations staff own the process and procedures associated with reviewing and updating the DoIT M-Team Team member list.
The list is manually reviewed and members are removed and added on a monthly basis.
Group Email Address
As of August 2025, the DoIT Internal Operations Manager owns the process and procedures associated with reviewing and updating the DoIT M-Team Group email member list.
The list is manually reviewed and members are removed and added on a monthly basis.
Meetings and Calendar
As of August 2025, the DoIT Internal Operations Manager owns the process and procedures associated with scheduling and updating meetings on the DoIT M-Team calendar.
Meeting Owner
The DoIT Chief Information Officer (CIO) Executive Team has broad administrative oversight and management of the DoIT M-Team meeting structure and content.
- The Executive Team is primarily responsible for making decisions that guide the strategic direction and management of M-Team meetings.
 - Meetings are facilitated by members of the Executive Team.
 - Facilitation duties rotate on a voluntary basis among Executive Team members.
 
Meeting Schedule
DoIT M-Team meetings are scheduled on the first Thursday of each month from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (90 minutes) via Microsoft Teams (virtual meetings).
Requests related to new meetings or already scheduled meetings will be sent to the DoIT Internal Operations Team via their Request Portal.
- A meeting owner will submit a Schedule Meeting or Coordinate Event request.
 - Requests received will be assigned to the Internal Operations Manager.
 - The Internal Operations Manager will process the request as received and communicate completion to the requester.
 
Scheduling Meetings
Scheduling Meeting Series (HOLD)
- The DoIT Internal Operations Manager will schedule a series of DoIT M-Team meetings on the first Thursday of each month from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (90 minutes).
- The meeting series will be scheduled on the DoIT M-Team group calendar and doit-mteam@office365.wisc.edu will be invited to the meeting series.
- The meeting series will be scheduled and sent as a calendar HOLD.
 - The meeting series will not include a Teams meeting connection link.

Scheduling Meeting with Agenda & Resources (Connection Link)
- At least two weeks before each M-Team Meeting, the Executive Team facilitator will share the meeting agenda, applicable resources, and a list of guest presenters or attendees with the Internal Operations Manager.
 - The Internal Operations Manager will then schedule and send a meeting invitation for the month specific meeting.
- The meeting will be scheduled on the DoIT M-Team group calendar and doit-mteam@office365.wisc.edu will be invited.
