MD Program Policy: Mid-Point/Interim Feedback

This policy outlines when and how mid-point feedback occurs.

Policy Details

  1. Mid-Course/Interim Feedback Phase 1 and Phase 2
    1. This feedback is for students’ benefit and seeking out additional feedback from the faculty and residents throughout courses/rotations is a best practice.
    2. Students will be provided with formative feedback on their progress, at a minimum, once at the midpoint of each block.
    3. In Phase 1, this includes self- assessment practice and feedback by the longitudinal teacher coaches.
    4. In Phase 2, feedback will occur midway through each rotation and will include a self- assessment as well as input from one of the clinical team members. Phase 2 Courses use the Mid-Rotation/Interim Feedback Form.
