UW Theme Classic - Plugins

The following plugin instructions are only relevant to UW Theme Classic sites. If you have built your site with UW Theme 2.0, please visit the informational site for details about building with related plugins.

This document outlines steps related to UW Theme Classic. This theme will be decommissioned in WiscWeb at the end of December 2026. At that time, this documentation will go away. If you are looking for how to do this process in the new theme, please visit the UW Theme 2.0 website.

Activating Plugins

Most plugins can be activated using the self-service activation option: WiscWeb - Self service plugin activation / deactivation

UW Events

The UW Events plugin is a custom plugin for building and maintaining events in your UW Theme Classic site.

Note: This plugin was rebuilt for UW Theme 2.0 and those instructions differ.

UW No Index

The UW No Index plugin is a custom plugin for hiding page from being crawled. 

UW Publications

Displays publication content in a list view on the page. Also integrates with fac/staff profile pages.

UW Social Share

The UW Social Share plugin allowed users to display social icons below each post for ease of sharing these posts on social networks.
