Reading the Tables in the Semester Summary Report
In this report, each questions is represented as a table. Each row represents a course taught by the instructor for the semester, and the disaggregated survey data is listed in the following columns.
Rows:
- Overall – Average of all responses for this instructor across all courses this semester.
- Course Sections – Each section of a course taught by the instructor is listed separately.
- Department Average – The average of all student responses for the home department.
- School/College Average – If applicable, the average of all student responses across the home school or college.
Columns:
- Overall – Average of all responses for this instructor across all courses this semester.
- Course Sections – Each section of a course taught by the instructor is listed separately.
- Response Rate – The percentage of eligible students who completed the evaluation at that level.
- Mean Score – The average rating given by students at that level.
- SD (Standard Deviation) – The amount of variability. Lower SD values indicate greater agreement.
Note: There is no CSV download for the summary Report.
Each course evaluation question is displayed in this report. It lists the Overall scores first, then data for each section taught by you. Next, it lists the scores for the Department, and the School (or college).
Sometimes, the overall score will not match the course. This is because there is omitted data from a low enrollment course. The following note appears: One or more courses are omitted from this table due to having fewer than 5 responses to this question
