Current state of IDL Licensing at UW-Madison
IDL is a programming language software tool used for data analysis.

Eligibility

Facstaff are eligible for IDL access if they are in a University-paid position

Students are not eligible for IDL access.  If you require access for a class or employment at the university, please contact licensing@doit.wisc.edu

IDL can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

Student access at UW-Madison

IDL licensing includes support from the vendor and software version updates.
