SPSS at UW-Madison

This document explains the current state of SPSS and associated features at UW-Madison.
SPSS Statistics is a statistical software suite developed by IBM for data management, advanced analytics, multivariate analysis, and business intelligence.

Eligibility

Facstaff are eligible for SPSS access if they are in a University-paid position

Students are eligible for SPSS access if they are currently enrolled as a student in a degree-seeking program at the University.

Facstaff access at UW-Madison

SPSS can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

SPSS can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

What's included in SPSS for UW-Madison

Licensing Models

UW-Madison is licensed for both individual installations and concurrent licenses for lab environments.

 

Troubleshooting

The most common error is not installing the software with administrator privileges.  Please contact your local IT for support with this error.
