Stata at UW-Madison

This document explains the current state of Stata and associated features at UW-Madison.
Stata is a general-purpose statistical software package developed by StataCorp for data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and automated reporting.

Eligibility

Facstaff are eligible for Stata access if they are in a University-paid position

Students are eligible for Stata access if they are currently enrolled as a student in a degree-seeking program at the University.

Facstaff access at UW-Madison

Stata can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

Student access at UW-Madison

Stata can be accessed directly through the Campus Software Library after a valid NetID login.

 

What's included in Stata for UW-Madison

Stata is all-encompassing and has no separate versioning for feature add-ons.

Licensing Models

UW-Madison has licensed the SE individual installer for campus use.  If you are interested in the MP (multi-processor) licensing, please contact licensing@doit.wisc.edu for a price quote.
