Blue - Adding or Removing Blue Course Evaluations from your Canvas Navigation Menu (Instructor) [UW-Madison]

This document describes the steps to add or remove Blue Course Evaluations from the navigation menu in your course, if it is available to your college.

Blue is available in Canvas courses for select colleges, and is enabled on the left-hand navigation menu by default. Follow the steps outlined below to hide or unhide Blue Course Evaluation in your course.

Opening your Course Navigation Settings

  1. Click on Settings in the left navigation menu of your course.
    Select Settings from the course navigation menu

  2. Once in your course's settings, click the Navigation tab.
    Next, select the "navigation" tab.

Removing Blue Course Evaluations from your Canvas course navigation menu

  1. When you are on the Course Navigation settings page, scroll down to locate Course Evaluations in your list of navigation items.
    Course Evaluations will appear in the upper section of the Navigation settings page, if it is enabled.

  2. Select X Disable to remove the item from your navigation menu. Or, select Move, and use your cursor to drag the item to the lower group of navigation items; labeled Drag Items here to hide them from students.
    Select the three stacked dots beside Course Evaluation, and then X Disable
    Alternatively, select "move" and use your cursor to move the Course Evauations item

Adding Blue Course Evaluations to your Canvas course navigation menu

  1. When you are on the Course Navigation settings page, find Course Evaluations in the list of hidden items. These are listed below the heading Drag items here to hide them from students.

  2. Drag and drop Course Evaluations into the upper section of enabled course navigation items.

    • Alternatively, click on the 3 dots next to Course Evaluations and select + Enable.
      Select the three stacked dots beside "course evaluation" and select +enable

  3. Once Course Evaluations is enabled, click Save at the bottom of the page.
    Select "save"

  4. Click Course Evaluations in the left navigation menu of your course.
