DoITnet commenting rules

Follow these rules when you comment on DoITnet posts. DoIT Communications will remove any comments that break these rules.

Rules

  • Be respectful. DoITnet is an extension of our workplace. If a comment wouldn't be okay in person, don't post it here — no abusive, prejudicial, threatening, profane or obscene comments.
  • Stay on topic. Comments should be relevant to the article or discussion at hand.
  • Be constructive. Stay thoughtful and solution-oriented when you disagree with an article or another commenter.
  • Follow policies and laws. Follow university policies on confidentiality, intellectual property and personal privacy. Don't post comments that violate copyright, defamation or other laws.
  • Add value. Contribute to the conversation constructively.

These rules connect to one of DoIT's guiding principles: "We recognize that each individual brings a unique perspective to the organization. We value inclusion, diversity, respect, and care for the reputation of our colleagues."
