About DoIT Repair and DoIT Departmental Support
This document provides information about two groups within DoIT, Repair and Departmental Support, formerly known as RaDS.
Differentiation of Repair and Departmental Support
DoIT Repair and DoIT Departmental Support used to be collectively known as RaDS. These groups now operate independently of each other. Please read the descriptions below to learn more about the services each group provides.
We are an authorized warranty service center for Apple and Dell desktops, laptops, and servers. We also provide out-of-warranty service to nearly all major computer manufacturers, as well as data transfer and data recovery services.

DoIT Departmental Support
DoIT Departmental Support maintains a number of IT support contracts for computer labs, departments, and organizations at UW-Madison. Our staff and students also work on a number of short-and long-term technical projects to meet the diverse and growing needs of the campus community.
