Bucky Backup (Windows) - Uninstalling the Bucky Backup Client
This document describes how to uninstall the Bucky Backup client, Bucky Backup Lite and Bucky Backup Enterprise, for Windows.
Bucky Backup Client Removal Process Overview
Note: You do not have to complete all 4 steps if you just want to re-install the client and keep your settings. You would just need to complete step 1.

Uninstalling the Bucky Backup Client
- Open Start --> Control Panel --> Programs and Features
- In the list of programs find IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Client or IBM Spectrum Protect Client.
- Click Uninstall.
- The uninstall process will begin. Please be patient as this may take a few minutes.
- Note: Just removing the Bucky Backup client will not remove your settings, so if you want to re-install the Bucky Backup client and keep your settings stop here. To delete your settings, please see the next section.
Removing the Bucky Backup Client Settings
Note: This process should only be followed if you want to completely remove the Bucky Backup client and settings.
- Open My Computer.
- Go to your Local Disk where you installed the Bucky Backup client.
- Note: Usually this location is C:\Program Files\
- Find the Tivoli folder.
- Delete the entire Tivoli folder.
- Note: This folder contains your settings files. If you want to keep your settings, do not delete this folder.
- If you want to install the Bucky Backup client again, please reboot.
Disabling the Bucky Backup Scheduler Service
- Open Start --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Services
- Righ click on TSM Client Scheduler in the list of services, and click Properties.
- In the General tab, change Startup type to Disabled and click Stop in Service Status.
- Click Apply, and then OK.
Removing the Bucky Backup Scheduler Service
Note: This process should only be followed if you want to completely remove the Bucky Backup client and settings.
- Open Start and type cmd and hit Enter.
- In the Command Prompt window that appears, type:
cd "\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient" and hit Enter. - Then type dsmcutil remove /name:"TSM Scheduler" and hit Enter.
- Verify that the output ends with The service was successfully removed.
