If you are a U.S. citizen, will be 18 years of age on or before Election Day, and have been a resident of Wisconsin for at least 28 consecutive days before election day, you are eligible to vote in Wisconsin after you register.
Students who are Wisconsin residents will be able to use their Wisconsin driver's license or their non-driver Wisconsin ID. A passport is also valid and can be used by U.S. citizens from outside Wisconsin.
For non-Wisconsin students who are U.S. citizens but who don't have a passport, the university will provide a separate voter ID card that complies with state law. Students can get a voter ID card at the Wiscard Office.
On election day, eligible voters must vote at a specific Polling Station which is determined by your current address. The Polling Stations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Find out where you should vote.
Please note: Wisconsin permits early voting. Check with the City Clerk's Office for early-voting dates for the upcoming election. (You can also register there on those dates, if needed.)
If you live in a University Residence Hall please see the following information to find out where to vote: https://vote.wisc.edu/
