Microsoft 365 - Will non-person or role-based accounts be supported?
We recognize that non-person accounts (e.g. role accounts) are a critical part of campus business needs for a variety of reasons. We intend to continue to facilitate the creation of non-person accounts to meet those business needs.
Non-person and role-based accounts will be provisioned as Services Accounts within Office 365. For more information on differences between Standard and Service Accounts, please see the following doc: Microsoft 365 - What account types are available in Microsoft 365?.
