Help Desk Hours
The CAE Help Desk is here to provide information and help you resolve problems that you encounter with CAE resources. The Help Desk is staffed by student Consultants, who are available to help you. There may be times that the CAE Help Desk is open, but there is no one at the desk to assist you. In those instances, the fastest way to get help is to send an email to the CAE Help Desk at helpdesk@cae.wisc.edu.

There are a number of ways to contact the CAE Help Desk, which is located in room 116 of the Computer Aided Engineering building(1410 Engineering Drive). You can call the help desk at 262-5349, email the CAE consultants at helpdesk@cae.wisc.eduand of course walk-in visits are welcome.

The Help Desk is generally staffed during the following hours:
Spring and Fall Semester:
Sunday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
 
Summer Semester:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday Noon to 5:00 PM
Sunday Noon to 6:00 PM
 
Intersession (between Spring/Fall and Summer including finals):
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM
 
Spring and Winter Break Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM
 
The Help Desk will be closed the following holidays:
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, New Year's Eve, New Year Day, and Thanksgiving (closed at 6 the day before Thanksgiving).
Please note that staffing may be limited around holidays and breaks.
