UW Digital ID (One-Time Password) - LRA - Deactivating / Removing an OTP Token

This document summarizes the process for deactivating a customer's OTP smartphone application.

  1. Navigate to https://uwdigitalid.wisconsin.edu and log in with your institutional credentials.

    If you experience problems logging into this page please refer to the following KB document: 13942

  2. When prompted to, enter your OTP code to finish logging in.

  3. Click Administration in the left-hand sidebar.

  4. Search for the customer's request by entering the customer's name into the Name field and selecting the "Completed" status.

  5. Select the customer's OTP request.

  6. Credential the customer as described in this KB document: 68615

  7. Click Deactivate in the Available Actions panel.

  8. Click Deactivate in the dialog box that opens up to confirm deactivation of the token.

  9. When you see the "One time password device has been deactivated" message, the token has been deactivated and can no longer be used to authenticate to systems like HRS or SFS.

    If the token was a hardware token, collect the token from the customer.
