Building Maintenance (CSSC) - Service Description
This document gives an overview of the Building Maintenance (CSSC) service.
If a person working in the Computer Sciences building or Rust-Schreiner needs to make a request or report an issue related to the building facilities, they can contact the DoIT Help Desk for assistance. The Help Desk will then route the request or problem report to the building manager for processing.
Note: DoIT staff working in the Middleton building should submit service requests using one of the methods outlined here: https://physicalplant.wisc.edu/customer-service/
Requests or issues related to facilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Key Requests
- Restroom fixture issues
- Ceiling Lighting issues
- Office temperature issues
- Furniture mover requests
- Office paint requests
- Office carpet requests
- Removal/Installation of items to walls
- Rodents or Insect infestations in building
- Water leaks
- Inappropriately locked/unlocked doors
- Suspicious Person
- Suspected theft
In situations that may constitute an imminent threat to life or safety or a crime-in-progress, call 911 immediately.
This service is primarily intended for faculty and staff working in the CSSC building and Rust-Schreiner, however, problem reports from students and visitors will also be investigated.
Reports and requests will typically come in during normal business hours, however, problems may be reported anytime the respective building is open.
