L&S Dean's Leadership Team
The Dean's Leadership Team (formerly known as Senior Staff) meets weekly to discuss policy, planning, faculty hiring and recruiting, and other issues related to broad college operations.
Dean's staff meetings are typically held on Wednesday mornings during the academic year. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss broad policy and planning issues, to consider faculty recruitment and appointment requests, and to discuss other administrative issues that have college-wide implications.
Deadlines for specific requests from the dean, as well as for recurring items, are generally communicated to departments via e-mail. Non-recurring requests arising from departments may be submitted at any time.
If a department has an item to be considered by the dean's staff, the chair should contact their academic associate dean by the end of the day on the Thursday preceding the next week's staff meeting.
