If You Are Currently Running Windows XP

Due to campus security policies, computers running Windows XP will no longer be allowed on the general campus network after April 8th. For this reason, we recommend upgrading your machine to Windows 7 or higher.

  • If you have a personal computer running Windows XP and you would like assistance upgrading your machine, visit one of our Walk-in Service Desk locations.

  • If your departmental computer is running Windows XP, contact your local IT staff for assistance in upgrading.

    • Note: If your workstation cannot be upgraded for reasons other than basic system requirements, e.g. your lab uses a Windows XP machine to run scientific equipment, contact the DoIT Help Desk for additional options.
