ESR & FAQ (Extraordinary Salary Ranch)
Beth presented the ESR FAQ information outline.
Questions are posed, basic answers given with links to further information.
Based on committee input minor changes were made to the document.
Communications of FAQ on ESR
Ideas for communication of the ESR FAQ were discussed. Some options are:
• Story in the Wisconsin Week (email and print)
• Email to all AS (Donna Silvers)
• Auto email to NEW AS
• CEBC FAQ website (with tracking of site hits)
We will invite someone from Wisconsin Week to our meeting to learn what makes a good article and to inform them of the work that CEBC does and give them background on how we came to develop the FAQ ESR information.
Update Domestic partnership health insurance benefits for UW employees
Information includes an attempt to clarify possible confusion between the Domestic Partnership Registry and the Domestic Partnership Benefits.
Resources are pulled together to provide viewers with an easy and efficient process to finding information on the topic. The committee will ask Kay Schoenher, committee member, to do a final review. This information will be provided via the FAQ.
Collective Bargaining Committee
The Collective Bargaining Committee is working on getting information out to people to stay informed about the union’s activities to organize staff in relation to their PD/PVL’s. The CEBC is interested in ways the Collective Bargaining Committee can efficiently inform the CEBC with the most up to date information. A description of the different parties involved and information of the gains for Academic Staff would be helpful. A decision chart that helps AS to make decisions on what this means to them was also discussed.
