Bio-ARROW help

The term Principal Investigator (PI) identifies the individual who is responsible for a research project. Each protocol can have only one PI.

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) defines a PI for biological safety protocols as University of Wisconsin-Madison tenure-track faculty. Circumstances may occur where a non-tenure-track researcher or researcher from an external agency may have need to request PI status for the purposes of the biological safety protocol.

Information on PI eligibility and a PI Request form can be found in the UW-Madison IBC Policy UW-6102
