macOS 10.9 and 10.10 - Creating a PDF

This article explains two different ways to create a PDF in almost any macOS application.

Create a PDF in macOS 10.9

  1. In your Safari browser, click File on the menu bar.
  2. From that drop-down menu, select Print.
  3. In the bottom left-hand corner of the pop-up window, press the blue arrow beside PDF to open the drop-down menu, and choose Save as PDF...
  4. In the Save As field, set your file name.
  5. From the Where drop-down menu, choose where to save your file before pressing Save at the bottom right corner of the window.

Create a PDF in macOS 10.10

  1. In your Safari browser, click File on the menu bar.
  2. From that drop-down menu, select Export as PDF...
  3. In the Export As field, set your file name.
  4. From the Where drop-down menu, choose where to save your file before pressing Save at the bottom right corner of the window.
