Activity: Nitrous Oxide form Soils — Management Related Issues
The goal of this activity is to connect management practices with GHG emissions.
Instructions: Read the table below summarizing WICST management practices. Then, study the figures below showing the sources of nitrous oxide emission and the exchange of nitrogen between the atmosphere and the soil. For each of the 6 cropping systems, discuss where management differences might lead to differences in fluxes.
