Provost Sarah Mangelsdorf called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. with 152 voting members present (111 needed for quorum).
1. Memorial Resolutions were offered for:
Professor Emeritus Ray Chun. 2551
Professor Emeritus Jim Love. 2552
Professor Emeritus Tom Schomisch. 2553
2. Provost Mangelsdorf presided over the presentation of the 2014-15 Hilldale Awards. The recipients are:
Arts and Humanities Division: Rachel Feldhay Brenner (Center for Jewish Studies);
Biological Sciences Division: Daniel Gianola (Animal Sciences);
Physical Sciences Division: James L. Skinner (Chemistry);
Social Studies Division: Jane L. Collins (Community & Environmental Sociology and Gender & Women's Studies).
3. Announcements/Information Items.
Provost Mangelsdorf called attention to the annual faculty elections, information sessions on performance management, and a legislative update from PROFS distributed at the door.
Provost Mangelsdorf also called attention to and explained a brochure on the new campus strategic framework distributed at the door.
Provost Mangelsdorf provided an update on campus academic achievements, athletic successes, and the budget processes.
4. Question Period.
There was one question.
5. The minutes of the March 2, 2015, meeting were approved as distributed.
6. Professor Scott Lutz submitted for informational purposes the Kemper K. Knapp Bequest Committee Annual Report for 2013-14 and 2014-15. faculty document 2554
