How can Licenses be used in the Public Cloud

Campus licensed software

Please contact your local IT and purchasing staff to determine if a specific software license allows you to use that software in AWS. Some vendors do not consider AWS resources University-owned computing resources and do not extend their licenses to anything running in AWS.

Licenses known to extend to resources hosted in the Public Cloud

Microsoft licensing can be used for infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure, with their BYOL option.
