Med School Printing using the Windows Operating System

Instructions on how to print from Med School Printing using the Windows Operating System.
- Login to an Ebling Library InfoCommons iMac student workstation, using the Windows Operating System.
If your NetID has been authorized to use Med School Printing, the 2nd and 3rd floor Med School Printers should automatically map themselves to the computer. There may be 2-3 minute delay before the printers map to the computer.
Printer names:
\\hslc-ps-info\MSP 2nd Floor
\\hslc-ps-info\MSP 3rd Floor
- Once connected you should see a pop-up showing your print quota, click OK.

Note: Clicking the Med School Printing shortcut on the desktop, re-maps the med school printers, and posts your current print quota.
- Please be sure to choose the MSP printer name, from the print menu of whatever browser or application you are printing from. Once the correct printer is selected, click OK to print.

\\hslc-ps-info\MSP 3rd Floor
Note: On the student workstations, the pay station printer (\\goprint.doit.wisc.edu\INFOPR-B&W-HSLC) by default, is first on the list, .   If you happen to accidentally send a print job to that destination, you can cancel it from the GoPrint release station computer, located in the Ebling Library Copy Center.

- To confirm that the Med School Printers are successfully connected to the computer you are using:

Click the Start button, type in the words "Devices and Printers" and click the selection.  This opens the control panel showing currently connected devices and printers.  If the Med School Printers are connected you should see the following as icons:
MSP 2nd floor on hslc-ps-info
MSP 3rd floor on hslc-ps-info

Note:  There are two Med School Printer locations. One is in the 2nd Floor Ebling Library Copy Center (room 2361). The other is at the end of the row of computer desks, on the 3rd floor along the atrium window side, closest to the historical reading room.
