CAE login session limits

A brief explanation of session limits on CAE Windows lab machines

CAE enforces a one‑user‑per‑workstation policy on all Windows lab machines. Users may not be logged into more than one workstation at the same time. To support this requirement, CAE has implemented UserLock on all Windows lab computers.

Automatic Logout for Inactivity

  • Windows lab computers: Sessions are automatically logged off after 45 minutes of inactivity.

  • Linux lab computers: Sessions are automatically logged off after 60 minutes of inactivity.

Concurrent Login Restrictions

If you attempt to sign in while still logged into another Windows lab workstation, you will be unable to access key services such as AppsAnywhere, Chrome, and other applications. The only thing you should still be able to access is your "I Drive". A common indicator of simultaneous active sessions is the following image:
