Step 3: Unzip Desktop File Right click on desktop icon Follow "7-zip" option Click "extract files" Select file location Another desktop icon will appear adjacent to the zipped file |

Step 4: Choose file extraction location I chose my removable external hard drive for easy access |

Step 5: Locate the Exe. Installation File Open the unzipped file (which I placed on my external hard drive in an earlier step) Click the file labelled "setup" (the one with the matlab icon on the left) Troubleshooting: if your file is not an executable file (.exe) and instead opens to a text file, try repeating the unzipping process or downloading an alternative zip file processor like 7-zip here |

Step 6: Navigate Pre-Installation Process Allow the program to make changes to your device |

Step 7: Access Activation Key Select "I need to create an account" (which requires an activation key) You will find the activation key for Matlab on the campus software library under "Support Information" in the Matlab section Copy and paste this number into the File Installation Key area |
