Matlab

Instructions for MAC:

1. Using the MathWorks Download link, press the blue button "Get Matlab" under "Campus-Wide Access." 

2. Sign in to your Mathworks account using your @wisc.edu email and password.

2. Create Account using your @wisc.edu email
   • Then select "Create MathWorks account and fill in required information. 

3. After either signing in or creating your account, you should be taken to the online browser version of MathWorks home page.
4. In the top right of the screen, click on the "Install MATLAB" button.

5. On the top left of the page under "Select Release," you can choose the version of MATLAB you wish to install.
6. After choosing the desired version, press the blue "Download" button in the center of the screen.

7. Follow the instructions for install under "Get Matlab and Simulink Products." 

8. Find MATLAB in installer and launch.

Instructions for Windows:

Windows Install Instructions

	Step 1: Access Software Library Login here Enter Net ID and password. Click once on "Matlab", then scroll to the bottom. Find an installer that matches your operating system. File download may take more than 10 minutes depending on your connection. Note: Download options are organized form oldest to newest and increase in GB file size. Step 2: Initiate Matlab Installation
	Step 3: Unzip Desktop File Right click on the desktop icon. Follow "7-zip" option. Click "extract files." Select file location. Another desktop icon will appear adjacent to the zipped file.
	Step 4: Choose file extraction location I chose my removable external hard drive for easy access.
	Step 5: Locate the Exe. Installation File Open the unzipped file (which I placed on my external hard drive in an earlier step). Click the file labelled "setup" (the one with the matlab icon on the left). Troubleshooting: if your file is not an executable file (.exe) and instead opens to a text file, try repeating the unzipping process or downloading an alternative zip file processor like 7-zip here.
	Step 6: Navigate Pre-Installation Process Allow the program to make changes to your device.
	Step 7: Access Activation Key Select "I need to create an account" (which requires an activation key). You will find the activation key for Matlab on the campus software library under "Support Information" in the Matlab section. Copy and paste this number into the File Installation Key area.
	Step 8: Install Depending on your connection, this process may exceed 10 minutes.
	Step 9: Confirm Selection, Launch!
