AWS - Finding a Canonical User ID

To find the canonical ID for your AWS account, please read the AWS user guide specifically.

In a nutshell, to determine your canonical user ID:

  1. Sign In to the AWS Management Console.
  2. In the Amazon S3 console, choose a bucket name to view details about a bucket.
  3. Choose the Permissions tab.
  4. In the Access control list section, under Bucket owner, the canonical ID for your AWS account appears.
  5. (e.g., 0123456789abcde0123456789abcde0123456789abcde0123456789abcde0123)

NOTE: a canonical user ID is different from a 12-digit AWS Account ID
