Cisco VoIP - How to find a MAC address
This document shows you how to find a MAC (media access control) address of a Cisco telephone. The MAC address is a 12-digit unique identifier needed when making an order to add, delete or change a Cisco telephone. The MAC address is printed on the bottom of each phone. You can also find the MAC address by looking at the phone information menu.

From the screen:
- Press the applications button ()
- Choose 4 Phone Information
- The MAC address is the third item listed. Do not include any colons or spaces.
On the back of the phone:
Look at the lower-right corner of the phone, you will find "MAC:" followed by a combination of letters and numbers. This is the MAC address.

From the screen:
- Press the applications button ()
- Choose 8. Phone Information
- The MAC address is the 12 letters and numbers following SEP in the Host Name field.
On the back of the phone:
Look at the lower-right corner of the phone, you will find "MAC:" followed by a combination of letters and numbers. This is the MAC address.

From the screen:
- Press Apps from the softkey menu
- Choose 3 Phone Information
- The MAC address is the third item listed
On the back of the phone:
Looking at the back of the Conference phone 8831, you will find a black sticker with information. Looking at the right corner you will find "MAC:" followed by a combination of letters and numbers. This is the MAC address.
