College of Engineering Course Proposal and Course Change Deadlines
Important deadlines for College of Engineering Course Proposals
Course proposals, including a syllabus with all required items, must be reviewed and approved by your department, the College's APCRC, and the University Curriculum Committee (UCC).
Use the chart below to determine when your proposal is due. For example, a course change proposal with an effective date of Fall 2021 needs to be on the February APCRC agenda. That means it has to be through the department-level approval step in Lumen by January 25, 2021 at noon. Depending on how your department approves proposals, you may need to get their approval in December or November.
The APCRC web site has more information about the course proposal process. Learn about course proposals and contact your Engineering Academic Planner for a syllabus template.
Begin developing your proposal as early as possible. Some proposals take longer than others, especially if any of the following apply: cross-listed course, meets general education requirements, is controversial or requires input from other departments or schools/colleges.
