PGY-1 Major Project Proposal Review Process

Proposal Review Process: Small group meeting to provide feedback and review decision for resident major project proposals
Meetings Timeline: August 15th to September 15th
Attendance: Resident, project team member(s), two SC members, and RPD (optional)
Review Outcome: Residents with review decision to "Discuss" or not completing the process by 9/22 will be required to present at the 9/26 SC meeting
Resident Expectations:
- Sign up for two SC members to review your proposal (sign up is first come first serve, consult with your project team if unsure which SC members to select)
- Schedule a proposal review meeting with all required attendees
- Send out your completed project proposal and feasibility checklist one week prior to your review meeting (see Section 2 of residency manual and past resident proposals for guidance)
- Present your proposal and field questions, incorporate feedback as appropriate
- Upload your final proposal and complete review process survey (deadline 9/22)
Project Team Expectations:
- Ensure completeness of project proposal and checklist prior to being sent out to SC members for review
- Ensure SC proposal recommendations are incorporated into final approved proposal
- At least one project team member to attend review meeting
SC Member Expectations:
- Read project proposal and feasibility checklist prior to meeting
- Complete a single feedback and review form between attending SC members with consensus review decision to "Approve", "Approve with Changes", or "Discuss"
Review Outcome: Residents with review decision to "Discuss" or not completing the process by 9/22 will be required to present at the 9/26 SC meeting
Important Notes: PGY-2 projects are exempt from this process. If Pharmacy Practice PGY-1 Residents obtain small group SC approval they will not have to present at RAC/SC large group. MSO/Admin PGY-1 Residents will still additionally present to MSO/Admin RAC.
